Join us for The Loop’s spring event at The Benstein Grille in Commerce
Township for a tequila tasting and dinner! We’re bringing together members of
the tribe from Metro Detroit’s west-side suburbs to meet, mingle, eat good
food and learn all about our favorite south-of-the-border spirit. We’ll hear
from Greg Sobol, drummer-turned-businessman and founder of Tekiah Tequila, the
first Jewish-inspired kosher tequila in the United States. In addition, we’ll
be treated to a tasting as well as a tutorial on how to make some signature
cocktails. Hope to see you there!
The Loop is a Federation initiative focused on engaging with and bringing
together Jews living in the westernmost suburbs of Detroit (think Walled Lake,
Northville, Novi, Commerce, Plymouth).
**About Greg Sobol and Tekiah**
Greg Sobol is the child of two distinct yet equally beautiful cultures,
Mexican Judaism and Michigan Judaism. The intersection of his heritage and
identity influenced Tekiah Kosher Tequila. Distilled in the traditional,
authentic methods of the Jalisco region of Tequila, Mexico, you can taste the
love in every sip. Founded in 2024 and based in Royal Oak, Tekiah is the first
Jewish-inspired kosher tequila in the United States. The company is
represented by Imperial Beverage, Kalamazoo. Visit

Please RSVP by April 7.
$54 per person includes dinner and drinks.
