We are heartbroken and outraged by the antisemitic terrorist attack in Manchester, England, on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year. The murder of two innocent Jewish people and the serious injury of others is a devastating reminder of the dangers of rising hate and violence in our society.
We mourn the victims and pray for the healing of those who were injured, and we stand in solidarity with the Jewish community of Manchester and with all those impacted by this heinous act.
Incidents of antisemitism and terror–of any kind—cannot be tolerated. As a community, we reaffirm our commitment to combating hate in all its forms and to working toward a world where all people can live in safety, dignityand peace.
