Cyberbullying and The Price of Shame
Don’t Miss Monica Lewinsky
Monica Lewinsky is a social activist, a global public speaker, a contributing editor to Vanity Fair and a consultant. She advocates for a safer social media environment and addresses such topics as digital resilience + reputation, privacy, cultivating compassion, overcoming shame and equality.
When it was revealed in 1998 that she had an intimate relationship with then President Bill Clinton, she unwillingly went from being an entirely private individual to a public figure on the global stage. Overnight, at just 24 years old, she began experiencing a proliferation of online shame and humiliation. From that, she saw an opportunity to participate in public discourse about online harassment and work to effect change. She helps several anti-bullying organizations and advocates for people to #ClickWithCompassion.

Signature is the premier annual fundraising event for Women’s Philanthropy. This women-only evening is a celebration of community and the profound impact of women donors to our Annual Campaign.
