Yom HaZikaron: Israel’s Memorial Day

Every year, Israel and Jewish communities around the world commemorate Yom
HaZikaron — the Memorial Day for Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of
terror. Since the October 7 attacks, this day has become especially poignant
for us all.

We invite you to join Federation’s Israel & Overseas Department and the
Friends of the IDF for _Songs of Sacrifice_ , a special Yom HaZikaron vigil of
words and music. Together, we’ll hear the powerful stories of fallen soldiers
through testimonials and song, creating a space for reflection and
remembrance. We are especially honored to welcome Captain Roie of the IDF, who
will share his experience and music with our community.

After the vigil, all are welcome to stay for _שרים וזוכרים_ , a moving
tradition of singing Israeli Yom HaZikaron songs, led by our community
Shinshinim.

Let’s stand together, honor the fallen and show our unwavering support for
Israel.
