Lessons from Israel’s Frontlines: Learning from Iron Sword Brain Injuries with Dr. Guy Rosenthal

Join Federation’s Maimonides Society for an evening with Dr. Guy Rosenthal,
renowned neurosurgeon and the Director of Neurotrauma and Neurocritical Care,
Department of Neurosurgery at Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center in
Jerusalem.
Dr. Rosenthal will discuss his experience in Israel with brain injured war
casualties from October 7 onward. Just a month before the war broke out, he
was involved in the group that formulated the new Guidelines for Penetrating
Traumatic Brain Injuries in Bethesda at the initiative of the U.S. Department
of Defense. Dr. Rosenthal will share how Israel used the draft of the
Guidelines to coordinate care across centers in Israel and has collected data
from four neurosurgical centers on severely brain injured patients from the
war.
$36 includes presentation by Dr. Rosenthal, cocktails, appetizers and
desserts.
Dietary laws observed.
Spouses are welcome.
Please RSVP by January 13, 2026.
In addition to the cost of a ticket, we ask that all attendees who have not
done so already, please give a gift to Federation’s 2026 Annual Campaign.
