While FedRadioDetroit enjoys a brief summer hiatus, we’re excited to bring you this mini episode featuring Geoff Kretchmer, President of Tamarack Camps who fills us in on their new CAMPaign for Change. This initiative involves campers and staff in the Jewish tradition of tzedakah, by teaching the joy of sharing, volunteering, and giving back by collecting change for camp scholarships so anyone who wants to attend Tamarack can.
Keep listening. We’ll be back in September to start our third year (!) of the full-length podcast with a line-up of some of the most interesting people in Jewish Detroit — plus the special Mitzvah Makers segment with everyday heroes nominated by you.
Mitzvah Makers will return in September
FedRadioDetroit’s new segment shines a spotlight on some of our community’s unsung heroes.
FedRadioDetroit is looking for Mitzvah Makers in our community – everyday people doing extraordinary things — and we need your help to find them! Do you know a committed volunteer doing great work in the community or have a neighbor who regularly goes out of their way to help others? We want to recognize them and share their stories. We are asking our listeners to nominate the Mitzvah Makers in their lives, and each month we will select one person to feature on the FedRadioDetroit podcast.
Do you know someone who is deserving of this honor? Nominate them here!
FedRadioDetroit is Federation’s podcast series hosted by Sam Dubin and Beverly Liss and featuring big personalities from Jewish Detroit’s diverse cast of characters.
