Join us for an inspiring evening with Israeli writer and former hostage, Eli
Sharabi. Freed on February 8, 2025 after 491 harrowing days in Hamas
captivity, Eli has transformed his experience into the bestselling memoir
_Hostage_ , the first book written by an October 7 survivor. His story is one
of profound strength, courage and enduring hope. Moderated by award-winning
journalist Jacki Karsh.

**About the Speaker**
**Eli Sharabi** is an Israeli author and survivor of Hamas captivity. On
October 7, 2023, Eli was kidnapped from his home and held hostage in Gaza for
**491 days**. He was freed on **February 8, 2025** , becoming one of the
longest-held survivors to return home.
Following his release, Eli wrote the bestselling memoir **_Hostage_** , the
first published account by an Israeli survivor of Hamas captivity. His book
and public speaking have made him a powerful voice for resilience, moral
clarity, and the ongoing efforts to bring every hostage home.
Eli continues to share his story around the world, honoring the memory of
those still missing and inspiring communities with his message of courage,
unity, and hope.
