Hi, I’m Rachel Ruskin, and I am excited to be joining the amazing I&O department here at Federation as a Senior Associate.
I have felt connected and passionate about Israel ever since I can remember, but especially after my gap year experience. Since then, I knew I wanted to dedicate my professional career to serving in Jewish non-profits. I have had my share of adventures with Tamarack Camps and Young Judaea and loved my time being the only American with the Tzofim – Israel Scouts. This feels like I have landed at home. I am thrilled to be working with the I&O department and especially with the Shinshinim. This job makes my heart happy, and I am very motivated to build these relationships that allow the relationship between the Detroit area and Israel to grow. These Shinshinim are the best of the best. They are incredibly motivated to give their all to our community for the year they are here with us and I couldn’t be more proud to help this happen.
