Schools

Supplementary schools offer Jewish children who attend secular or public schools an opportunity to connect with their heritage through additional education in holidays, life-cycle rituals, Hebrew language, texts and traditions. They focus on building a sense of belonging, spiritual identity and communal connection, while also preparing students for key moments such as b’nai mitzvah.

These programs blend formal learning, hands-on experiences and family engagement, integrating with other Jewish life‑building activities across the community.

Adat Shalom Synagogue Limmud Religious School

Adat Shalom’s Limmud program blends tradition and innovation to create a meaningful learning experience for K–7 students. With flexible scheduling, engaging teachers and community-building activities, students explore Hebrew, holidays and values in a nurturing environment.

Aish Sunday School (S.I.T.E. – School for Integrative Torah Education)

At Aish, we teach kids to love being Jewish with interactive, experiential learning. Our once-a-week, non-denominational program teaches Hebrew reading, Jewish history and holidays through art, music, baking and games.

Chabad Jewish Center of Troy Hebrew School of Arts

Congregation Beth Ahm Charach Religious School

Small group and personalized learning characterize the experience at Beth Ahm’s Charach Religious School. Each student has an individual session during the week (at a time of your choosing), plus a group learning experience on Shabbat morning. Students develop a love for Jewish learning while strengthening their Jewish identities.

Through Jewish music, customs, holidays, stories, Hebrew and history our goal is help our children and their families acquire Jewish literacy, explore their Jewish identity and create a personal pride that comes with a sense of belonging. Our program combines children’s education with whole family education. Designed for K-7th graders and their families.
