Calling all Jewish Detroit teens ages 11 to 14!

Are you looking for a meaningful way to earn service hours for your bar/bat mitzvah, National Junior Honors Society, Boy/Girl Scouts, college resume or just because you love lending a hand and making a difference?

Introducing Service with Purpose!

We know it’s been hard finding service opportunities during COVID-19. Service with Purpose connects you to safe, interesting and meaningful experiences that rack up those service hours and help your Jewish community in so many ways.

How to sign up:

Let us know what you’re interested in doing (check out the options below in the registration form and sign up for as many as you want) by January 8. We’ll form peer groups based on interests and reach out to you with your assignment options by January 15. Simply scroll down and fill out the registration form below!

Once you’re signed up:

You’ll attend a mandatory Zoom informational learning session on Sunday, January 17 at 7 PM. (At least one parent is strongly encouraged to attend). The volunteer program is eight weeks long, and depending on which program you choose, your volunteer hours will look different, but we’re happy to answer questions before you sign up. We will end the program with a mandatory closing session on Sunday, March 14 at 7 PM.  Contact Amy Brody at or 248-833-2513 with any questions.

Thank you for your interest in Service with Purpose. The first session of Service with Purpose is full. If you are interested in signing up for the next session, which will start in late March, please submit your name and email below and you will be notified when registration opens. Thank you!

If you have any questions before signing up, please contact Amy Brody at or 248-883-2513.

You Matter.

The help we provide to the Jewish community in Detroit, in Israel and around the world is not possible without your support. Choose your level of impact…
