Ride for the Living 2026

Ride for the Living

Sunday, August 16 | 7:30 AM | Starting at Ferndale Project

Federation’s Israel & Overseas Department is proud to present Ride for the Living 2026 — and we want you there.

This isn’t just a bike ride. Every mile is a statement. Every rider is a witness. Ride for the Living turns memory into motion, connecting our community here in Metro Detroit to the original Ride for the Living in Europe — a powerful journey from Auschwitz to the JCC in Krakow that bears witness to what was lost and affirms what endures. Our Detroit-area satellite ride carries that same spirit close to home.

The Ride: A 30-mile round-trip from Ferndale to the Detroit River, with curated stops along the way, low-traffic streets, and security support from front to back. Three pace groups welcome riders of all experience levels:

  • Slow Rollers: 10–12 mph
  • Cruisers: 13–15 mph
  • Chasers: 16–19 mph

New this year: A shorter, family-friendly ride option — because showing up at any pace matters.

Not a rider? Join us as a Cheerleader at the finish line and support the Krakow JCC with a donation. Every registration — rider or cheerleader — sends 100% of the entry fee directly to the Krakow JCC, helping Jewish life continue to thrive in Poland today.

After the ride, join us for a post-ride celebration at Ferndale Project — food and a drink on us.

Now more than ever, showing up matters. Come ride with us.
