3. Charts

Over 1,000 charts have been created by Dr. Ira Sheskin, Director of the Jewish Demography Project of the Sue and Leonard Miller Center for Contemporary Judaic Studies at the University of Miami, who conducted the 2018 Detroit Jewish Population Study and the previous comprehensive study in 2005. There are two categories of charts:

  • The first category helps illustrate the wealth of data that can be found in corresponding chapters in the Main Report Volumes I and II.
  • The second category is presentations that were created for specific community groups and while also presenting general findings, there is a focus on information that is of value to these groups.

The Detroit Jewish Population Study covered the tri-county area: Wayne, Macomb and Oakland Counties. The term “Detroit” includes all these counties.
