SUMMARY:Death Over Drinks
DESCRIPTION:The many mystical and meaningful Jewish traditions that surround death weren’t\nexactly covered in Hebrew school\, which is pretty unfortunate\, because they’re\nsome of the most interesting (and comforting) practices in our culture. Think\nit’s about time you learned a little about death in Judaism? How about over\ndrinks? Then you’ve come to the right place! Whether you are curious about\nshiva etiquette\, want to get some background info for when you become a\nmourner\, or are interested in learning how to comfort friends and family\nduring a loss\, this conversation is for you. We’ll be joined by Rabbi Jennifer\nKaluzny of Temple Israel to learn the basics about how Judaism conceptualizes\ndeath and how tradition teaches us to interact with one another during times\nof grief. \n$10 per person includes one drink on us and snacks. \nThis event is intended for young adults ages 21 to 39. \nThank you to our chairs:\nAdina Goss & Daniel Cohen \nView event on Jlive: https://jlive.app/events/10134

SUMMARY:Nova Exhibit - Sunday Nov 17\n- RESERVED FOR EMPLOYEES OF JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS
DESCRIPTION:**The Moment Music Stood Still: The Nova Music Festival Exhibition **is a\npowerful memorial dedicated to the lives lost and forever changed at the Nova\nFestival on October 7. Through a collection of remnants and personal artifacts\nsalvaged from the festival grounds\, as well as video testimonies and written\nfirst-person accounts\, visitors are invited to experience the stories\,\nmemories and messages of those who were present at the festival. The\nexhibition centers around a unifying call from survivors: “We will dance\nagain\,” and serves as a testament to both the vibrancy of life before the\ntragedy and the strength that emerges in its aftermath.\nJoin us in honoring these stories and in supporting the message of hope and\nresilience that the exhibition so powerfully embodies.\nThe Nova Musical Festival Exhibition is being hosted at The J\, 6600 West Maple\nRd\, West Bloomfield from November 17 –24 from 11AM to 7PM. The exhibit content\nis appropriate for visitors age 16+. \nView event on Jlive: https://jlive.app/events/9641
