NEXTGen Detroit and Repair the World Detroit Presents

Seeds, Sanitizer and Social Distancing

  • Congregation Shaarey Zedek, 27375 Bell Road, Southfield MI 48034
  • Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30 pm

July 7, 2020 @ 6:30 PM 8:30 PM

Sure, the name isn’t as appealing as our yearly Seeds, Snacks and Six Packs, but these are the times we’re living in… and seeds still need preparing! Once again, we’re helping our friends at Keep Growing Detroit with their seed distribution for local community gardens and farms all over Detroit. We’ll be in the parking lot of Shaarey Zedek filling bags with a variety of seed packets that will be distributed to Detroit growers. And to be extra safe, we’re keeping this volunteer opportunity to only 25 people, with everyone spaced 6 feet apart and wearing masks.

Everyone will get a package with supplies to prepare seed bags, a snack and hand sani. You’ll be able to do everything right on the hood of your car or your trunk/hatchback. Feel free to bring folding or camp chairs, but definitely not necessary. And we will have access to bathrooms that will be sanitized after each use.

Please register online by July 6.
