January 20, 2021 @ 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Do we have a sweet evening planned for you! History buffs and baking enthusiasts are in for a treat as we open the lid on Detroit’s peanut butter past and welcome archivist and Jewish Detroit historian Robbie Terman who will spread the story of the Velvet Peanut Butter Company. We’ll then bake our own delicious Velvet Peanut Butter creations along with the confection experts at Detroit Cookie Company. Not a peanut butter lover, or have an allergy? No worries — we have a peanut-less option too!
Please register in advance by January 11 to get your at-home kit which includes: a jar of Velvet Peanut Butter or Lotus Cookie Butter (both Kosher), Detroit Cookie Company recipe, other program materials and a delicious treat!
Kit pickup will be available on January 19 at the Jewish Federation Building (6735 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills). Packages will be in the lobby from 10 AM-5 PM.
This event is offered at no cost to donors of $18 or more to the Federation’s 2021 Annual Campaign. If you would like to make a donation now to attend this event, you can do so here.
