As the only functioning Democracy in the region, Israel’s politics are full of tumult and triumph. Now, on the precipice of its fourth national election in the last two years, the Israeli political landscape is more compelling than ever.
Join us for this three-act dive into Israeli politics with experts and voters live from Israel. With the next national election set for March 23rd, two of the sessions will be before the vote to set the stage. Then, we’ll meet again after to wade through the results.
Act One: Making Sense of the Upcoming 4th Election

An Introduction to the Israeli political system and where it stands before the fourth election in two years. Led by Prof. Reuven Y. Hazan, Chair in Israeli Democracy and Politics, in the Department of Political Science of the Hebrew University.
Act Two: Where Politics Meets Psychology

Political psychology is new way of understanding political currents in Israel, one people don’t normally consider when they think about politics. A discussion with Federation’s Senior Community Shaliach, Yiftah Leket, and Prof. Eran Halperin, Head of Psychology of Intergroup Conflict & Reconciliation Lab (PICR) in the Hebrew University.
Act Three: The Aftermath. Analyzing the Israeli Election Results
