Orthodox feminist leader in Israel shares advocacy efforts

Come hear Orthodox feminist leader Esty Shushan and learn about this Israeli change-maker’s advocacy efforts to have women included in Haredi political parties.

Esty Shushan is the founder and Co-CEO of Nivcharot, a feminist organization in Israel that fights for the right of Hareidi women to be given a greater voice and representation. A social activist, Esty initiated and leads the protest campaign, “No Voice No Vote,” to integrate women into Hareidi political parties in the Israeli government. She also manages a Hareidi feminist Facebook group that deals with taboo issues in her community. Esty is married and the mother of four.
