NEXTGen Detroit Interfaith Couples Presents
Boozy Babka with Mandylicious
- Virtual Event
- Mimi Marcus - (248) 642-4260 mmarcus@jfmd.org
April 12, 2021 @ 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Gratitude Event for NEXTGen Detroit donors!
Perhaps your partner has been baking babka since they were a bubbly baby bouncing on their bubbie’s knees. And you? You don’t know babka from bumkis.
Fear not! The time has come to power down your Peloton bike, preheat your oven and become a babka head.
Join NEXTGen Detroit and Mandy Silverman, founder of Mandylicious, as we bake and discuss what’s Jewish about this sweet braided bread. Each participant will get to make both traditional and flower-shaped dark chocolate stout babkas, together with delightful dipping sauces.
Boozy Babka takes place on one night, in two parts:
6-6:45PM: Making the dough together on Zoom
8-8:45PM: Back together to shape, stuff and bake our breads
This event is offered at no cost to those who have made a gift to the Jewish Federation’s 2021 Annual Campaign. If you have not yet made your gift, you can donate below.
You’ll just need to pick up a few ingredients. We will send you the recipe and your shopping list once you register.
Registration Deadline: April 10
