Jewish Experiences

Our culture is full of traditions and holidays, rich history, diversity and really good food — and we’re celebrating it!

Good Shabbos Detroit
Once a month, we meet at a different congregation in Metro Detroit for a unique Friday night dinner and Shabbat celebration.

Torah on Tap
Every other month, we get together for some Torah learning, schmoozing and an adult beverage or two.

Jewish Learning Opportunities
From partner-style learning about “taboo” topics in Judaism to “Ask Me Anything” series on Israel to a FedEd catalogue full of classes, we have an ever-evolving calendar of Jewish learning events with something for every area of interest.

Holiday Celebrations
During Chanukah, we light a 20 ft. Menorah in the middle of Downtown Detroit. On Lag B’Omer, we throw an epic BBQ blowout. Over Sukkot, we have a special edition of Good Shabbos Detroit under the sechach. The Jewish calendar is full of holidays, and we celebrate them in NEXTGen Detroit style.

All Things Israel
We never pass up a chance to go to Israel. But when we can’t be there, we bring it here with programs and events that let you experience and learn about Israel’s beauty, culture, trends, challenges and complexity.
