Seminar for Congregational Educators on August 18th

August 1, 2013 | Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit

It’s back to school: Federation’s Alliance for Jewish Education, in conjunction with the Hermelin Davidson Center for Congregation Excellence and the Metro Detroit Board of Jewish Educators (MDBJE), will bring together 150 local congregational educators for a full-day of study at the Seminar for Educational Excellence in Detroit (S.E.E.D.) scheduled for Sunday, August 18th at Temple Israel.seed-logo

Teachers from all of the community’s congregational schools are invited to work together to sharpen teaching skills in preparation for the upcoming school year. Participants will select four workshops that focus on new methods and techniques to convey our heritage to today’s students. Instructors include local rabbis and educators throughout the community, including from the Alliance for Jewish Education.
