Making Matzah and Memories

March 24, 2015 | Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit

Another year, another Matzah Factory! Over 1200 people experienced the joy of making matzah and making memories!

The program partners, Jewish Federation, JCC, Shalom Street, and Bais Chabad Torah Center of West Bloomfield, outdid themselves in creating an amazing week for all who attended.  Special events included “Passover Around the World,” an evening of learning and matzah/charoset making for women co-sponsored by Aish in the Woods and our annual PJ Library night.

Thank you to our hosts, the Jewish Community Center, whose staff set up, cleaned up, and made sure that we had everything that was needed for a successful week; the Shalom Street staff, whose vision and energy shone as they taught about the Seder symbols and helped visitors create projects;  Bais Chabad staff for their passion, acting skills, creativity and more; the Federation staff, from the marketing department for making us look good, to building services for the major schlepping, to those who were on the front line staffing the program – we have a heck of a team who prove over and over that we are Here for Good!

You can view photos from this year’s Matzah Factory here. But be warned, they are very cute!
