Feed the Need to Read. Volunteer for Bookstock.

April 12, 2013 | Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit

Tuesday, April 23, 2013 is Teacher Appreciation Day. Volunteers are needed to fill shifts open throughout the day starting at 9:30 a.m. to assist with this super-size, community-wide fundraising book sale.

Volunteer hours through Federation’s Tikkun Olam Volunteers (TOV) benefit the Jewish Community Relations Council’s literacy programs. A great opportunity to volunteer for students, family and friends too!

Note to book lovers: this year, Bookstock features three days of special sales. On Tuesday, April 23 all teachers will receive 50% off their purchases from 3-9 p.m. Shoppers can buy three books and get the fourth for free during two days of Bookbuster special deals, from 3 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, and Thursday, April 25.
