Come to Oak Park JCC This Week to Apply for Flood Assistance

The Jewish Assistance Network will be on hand at the Jewish Community Center in Oak Park to meet with members of the Jewish community who want to apply for assistance with flood-related expenses. We will be available to answer questions and accept applications for emergency financial assistance from qualifying families at the following times:

  • Tuesday, August 26: 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 27: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 28: 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 29: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Families seeking assistance are asked to bring invoices or receipts for clean-up and repair services already completed, along with 2013 Tax Returns and a copy of their homeowners or renters’ insurance policy.

Grants are available for Jewish households with a combined income equal to or less than 400% of the Federal Poverty Level.  You can also call the Jewish Assistance Network at (248) 592-2650 if you have questions about your eligibility.

Can’t make it to the JCC? Again, you can apply for help and learn about available resources by calling at (248) 592-2650. This week, we’ll have special hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
