July 14: Aloooooha!
July 14, 2014 | Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
Good Morning to you!
We are having EILAT of fun here, on the beach…feels like Hawaii with the music and the straw umbrellas! It’s a nice relaxing day after our past few days of hiking in the desert. Last night the teens had an extended curfew as we set up a projector on the grass to watch the World Cup. Unfortunately for the majority of us, Germany won 🙁 But it was a great experience! After the beach today we are going to lunch in a mall with an ice skating rink; pretty ironic considering it is about 110 degrees where we are! We are staying in Eilat one more night this evening and we are going out in style…on a cruise with a DJ! Stay tuned for some great pictures!
Tomorrow we will make our way to Tiberias in what starts our stay up north. We are all extremely excited to meet our family in our partnership region, our home away from home. The north consists of visiting our schools, beautiful hikes, home hospitality, and really understanding and feeling the love that exists between both regions.
We are all enjoying our last day down here and are sending love and hugs to those of you back in America..
