About the Statewide Outreach Initiative

The Ed Ravitz Statewide Outreach Initiative is designed to strengthen Jewish identity and promote Jewish continuity in Michigan Jewish communities outside Metropolitan Detroit and Ann Arbor.

To assist these Jewish communities with such rich histories and a most proud heritage, the initiative provides resources and funding for Jewish educational, religious and cultural experiences, makes available scholarships for Israel trips and Jewish camping, and enables networking opportunities to deepen the connections among Jewish communities across the state.

You and your community can use the site in the following way:

Children in your community may use the site to learn about and apply for Jewish Summer Experience Subsidies for approved Jewish Summer camps and Israel programs.
Community leaders may download a grant application to request funding for Jewish programs/projects that seek to promote Jewish vibrancy and continuity within your community. You can also check out the Speakers Bureau to help you find the perfect program for your community.
You can keep up-to-date on the latest happenings of the Initiative as well as some of the Jewish programs being run in other communities across the state.
