School Inclusion Services
Opening the Doors’ School Inclusion enriches the classroom experiences for children with a wide range of learning differences. By enabling them to be included in a Jewish day school classroom, they learn about their Jewish heritage, holidays, strengthen their Jewish identity and develop meaningful peer relationships. Participants are assisted by a one-on-one full time classroom assistant, Hebrew consultant, English consultant and as needed, speech pathologist and occupational therapist.
This program is subsidized by families. The School Inclusion Coordinator provides staff supervision, individual action plans, arranges staff training and maintains positive relationships with parents.
