Shabbat Message for October 30

October 30, 2015 | Roz Blanck

On Monday, the Young Women’s Philanthropy group met to discuss next steps following the wildly successful day in the D on September 25. Look for more fun in 2016. In the meantime, #YWPintheD hopes to have a nice contingency at theTOV Chanukah Packages Program on Sunday, November 22.

The Advisory Service Council had their annual luncheon on Thursday at the Max M. Fisher Federation Building. Approximately 40 women came to hear Michael Wilner, Washington bureau chief for The Jerusalem Post, who spoke about the recent Iran deal. Everyone was glued to their seats hearing his first-hand account of being in Vienna with Secretary Kerry waiting for the deal to be agreed upon. Thanks to ASC Co-Chairs Doris August and Joyce Sherman, ASC Associate Chairs Joyce Blum and Marcy Feldman, and Vice-President for ASC, Randi Sakwa for planning such a lovely luncheon and program.
