Shabbat Message for October 18

October 18, 2013 | Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit

As Rabbi Jennifer Kaluzny so aptly explains in her D’var Torah this week, we as Jews are very hospitable people. It is innate (and Biblically suggested) that we open our homes, hearts and arms to family, friends and strangers. Our dining rooms are meant to be overflowing, yet some in our community need extra help with their families and homes. Our wonderful agency of Jewish Family Service helps those in our community who fall on hard times. Our next Coffee Talk event on Monday Oct. 28 (10:00-11:30 am) will be held at Jewish Family Services and it will be a unique opportunity to experience the inside workings of this exceptional agency. I know you will truly appreciate the first hand knowledge you will gain by attending this event and witnessing the work you help support with your Federation donation. Please join me for this wonderful event by replying to Toni Hayes Howard at (248) 203-1523 or hayes@jfmd.org

Shabbat Shalom,

Lisa
