Shabbat Message for June 5th

June 5, 2015 | Roz Blanck

A message from the new Women’s Philanthropy Director:

I am so privileged to have begun my new position at Federation this week as the Director of Women’s Philanthropy! Beginnings are invigorating, heart-warming, nerve-wracking and full of good laughs!

It was 21 years ago that I began calling the Detroit Jewish Community my home, calculated by the birth of our youngest son, a newborn upon our move here (talk about nerve-wracking beginnings). And this week he celebrated his 21st birthday!

The move to Detroit followed many previous beginnings -moves to Mississippi, to Israel, to Los Angeles, Phoenix and Milwaukee, affording opportunities along the way to work in a variety of Jewish communal professional roles.
