Shabbat Message for February 12

February 12, 2016 | Roz Blanck

We had a great week here in Women’s Philanthropy!

We had a great planning meeting with our Thanks Event Chairs, Lisa Brody, Sonia Gonte, and Leslie Ruby to continue plans for our Thanks Event, featuring Israeli fashion house, Maskit. Mark your calendars for Monday, April 11th – it’s going to be fabulous!

We also met with the Mosaic V Co-Chairs, Carolyn Tisdale and Rachel Zimmerman, to continue plans for the Mosaic Mission, leaving November 2016. Gideon Herscher, Director of Development and International Partnerships at the JDC, joined us to brainstorm impactful JDC programs we can visit to further enhance our itinerary.

Our Community Connections leadership, Co-Chairs Pam Bloom and Susan Feber, and Associate Co-Chairs, Lisa Bronstein and Michal Korman, and Vice President Linda Spigelman met to start the planning for next Community Connections program, scheduled to begin this May. If you know someone who might be interested in Community Connections, please email their names to Judy Lansky, lansky@jfmd.org.

Board Member Norma Dorman spent the week in Israel on JFNA’s Heart to Heart women’s mission, along with Federation’s Director of Missions and Special Projects, Naomi Rockowitz as her wonderful tour guide. Here is a quick snapshot from their trip:
