The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit seeks to answer the welfare,
educational, cultural and spiritual needs of the Jewish community, both locally and around
the world, through community outreach and education, leadership development,
and philanthropic programs.

- Federation's Alliance for Jewish Education
- Brings together leaders and professionals in education to create
and implement a strategic vision for Jewish education in our community.

- ElderLink
- ElderLink is a network of services for older adults provided
by the member agencies of the Commission on Jewish Eldercare Services.

- Leonard N. Simons Jewish Community Archives
- Collects, inventories, preserves and makes available for research
the historical record of the Jewish Federation, the United Jewish Foundation,
Federation's partner agencies, local organizations and individuals.
The collection includes photographic and biographical records.
- Michigan Jewish Conference
- Serves the political and community relations needs of the statewide
Jewish community through legislative advocacy, coalition building with
other statewide religious and social justice organizations, and fostering
communication between member communities.
- Get There! Federation's Teen and Young Adult Travel Fund
- More young people than ever can now benefit from financial assistance for travel to Israel and overseas.

- Yom HaZikaron (Israeli Memorial Day)
- Every year Federation sponsors a community-wide program that comemorates
the Israeli soldiers that died defending Israel and those who died
in terror attacks.
- Partnership 2000
- The Michigan-Central Galilee Partnership 2000 encourages and fosters
enduring relationships between Jewish communities in Michigan and the

- PACT in Netanya
- In September 2001, the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
entered into a new partnership with JDC and the city of Netanya. Learn

- Jewish Renewal in Kiev
- Federation's initiative in Kiev is dedicated to renewing Jewish communal
life in a city with a Jewish population of over 90,000. Learn
