By far the most adorable exercise class\naround\, this relaxed\, all-levels yoga class is part stretching\, part cuddling\nand all around fun. While we move through poses\, we’ll be socializing rescue\npuppies to help them get ready for their furever homes. Half of us participate\nin yoga\, then join the other half of the group to put together care packages\nfor rescue pups\, who will then take their yoga class — so be sure to pick a\ntime slot when registering because two class times are available. DESCRIPTION:Visit the vaults of the historical Cranbook Art Museum and see how they house\nall those midcentury modern masterpieces when they are not on display. The\nstate-of-the-art collections wing houses over 8\,000 items and was one of the\nfirst in the country to open its doors to the public to visit. We’ll be guided\nby a Curatorial and Collections Interpretation team member who will show off\nsome of the many sculptures\, textiles\, drawings\, prints and paintings in the\nCranbrook collection — and point out the works a few of the Jewish artists. \nWhile one half of the group tours\, the other half will enjoy a delicious boxed\nlunch from the Cranbrook café and the chance to checkout the unique\nmerchandise in the gift shop\, and then we’ll switch. DESCRIPTION:Join Women’s Philanthropy’s Tikkun Olam Volunteers (TOV) for an afternoon of\npacking with purpose. We’ll be assembling soup making kits (with supplies\nprovided by Metro Food Rescue) and hygiene totes (facilitated by Dignity\nGrows) for Hospitality House Food Pantry\, whose mission is to minimize\ndeprivation in our community by providing food and assistance to those in\nneed\, while maintaining the utmost respect for the dignity of the individual.\nIn addition to this hands-on volunteer project\, you’ll also have the\nopportunity to learn a bit about all three of these important organizations.\nMore about Metro Food Rescue\nMetro Food Rescue rescues food that would otherwise be discarded and delivers\nit to a network of food pantries\, thereby helping to feed individuals and\nfamilies in need.\nMore about Dignity Grows\nDignity Grows works to combat period poverty by providing girls and women with\nthe hygiene products needed to participate in work\, school and everyday life\nduring menstruation.\nThis event is being offered at no cost\, but if you would like to make a\nfinancial contribution to cover the cost of the soup making kits\, you can do\nso when you register. You’re also welcome to bring non-perishable food items\nto donate to Metro Food Rescue.\nThis event is intended for women of all ages.
