Inside Jewish Europe: Stories of Millennials from Berlin to Bulgaria

Sunday, May 7 | Doors 6:00 pm | Program 6:30 pm

From Berlin to Bulgaria, young Jewish adults in the European Diaspora are tackling issues of Jewish identity and stepping up to ensure the future of their communities. Sound familiar? Though we’re oceans apart, the next generation of Jews in Detroit and Europe are a lot closer than you might think. Join JDC Entwine, NEXTGen Detroit, and Repair the World and hear-first the stories of two young and inspiring Jewish leaders who are rewriting what it means to be a young, proud Jew in Europe.

Featuring: Anja Olejnik, a young leader who escaped from war-torn Bosnia for Serbia and now works as the JDC Berlin Manager, and Maia Ferdman, who spent a year in Bulgaria as a JDC Entwine Jewish Service Corps Fellow supporting young adult programming with JDC Junction.

Enjoy an authentic Polish menu of heavy appetizers, beer and drinks.

Co-Chairs: Lauren Hoffman, Michelle Freeman & Alyah Al-azem
