Farber Hebrew Day School

Since its inception 52 years ago, Farber Hebrew Day School – Yeshivat Akiva has been committed to providing a comprehensive Jewish and secular education in a vibrant atmosphere of Torah values and academic challenge.  Yeshivat Akiva was born from the vision of a dedicated few whose commitment to establishing a new school in the metropolitan Detroit area which would stress equally the secular and the Judaic while imbuing its students with a love for an commitment to the land of Israel, has supported our community for over half a century and will continue to do so well into its next 50 years.

Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit

Founded in 1958 by Rabbi Jacob Segal and other leaders in the Detroit Jewish community, Hillel Day School began with a handful of students and their parents who were pioneers in the Conservative day school movement. The group worked tirelessly to turn their dream into a reality … and a wonderful tradition began. Today, Hillel is a thriving educational institution located in Farmington Hills, Michigan with hundreds of students from pre-school through eighth grade. The school welcomes Jewish children from all Jewish affiliations.

Jean and Sam Frankel Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit

The Frankel Jewish Academy is a high school that functions as both an academic and religious institution. It is built upon a dual curriculum of the highest-level college preparatory general studies and classical text-based Jewish studies while operating within a framework of Jewish law. Our mission is to provide an environment that both educates toward and engenders an appreciation of living a traditional Jewish lifestyle, a relationship with God, and a commitment to the Jewish people, the State of Israel, and the United States. We envision our graduates acquiring an appreciation for the values of Torah and Western Civilization that will empower them to become leaders of the Jewish community and society at large.

Yeshiva Beth Yehudah

Yeshiva Beth Yehudah is the largest Jewish School system in Michigan, providing quality Torah-based and secular educational programs for over 100 years. Under its guidance, nearly 1000 students in Nursery through Grade 12 are receiving an excellent foundation to become the future leaders of our community. The mission of Yeshiva Beth Yehudah is to maintain schools which promote in their students love of learning Torah, love of Eretz Yisroel, the values of a Torah way of life, and midos tovos; which provide Torah education in accordance with Orthodox Jewish law (halacha), and exemplary secular education in accordance with the standards prescribed by the State of Michigan and best practices nationwide. The policy of the schools is not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin. The schools are a proud agency of The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and is today Detroit’s largest Jewish Day School.

Yeshiva Gedolah

Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit, or Yeshiva Gedolah Rabbinical College, offers Talmud instruction for Jewish students. Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit, located in the pleasant Oak Park/Southfield neighborhood of Southeast Michigan, is open to all men of the Jewish faith and has bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in rabbinical and Talmudic studies.

The faculty at Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit is dedicated to developing the critical thinking skills in each student. Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit values true Talmud scholars, who understand the ancient text of the Talmud as well as the responsibility to community and faith.

Talmud studies includes instruction and discussion on Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, customs and history. Students are encouraged to be aware of their communities and how their new scholarly knowledge of the Talmud will impact those communities.

As a Talmud scholar, students are able to pursue a profession as a rabbi, Talmud instructor, or any other career in the field. Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit believes study of the Talmud is a personal, spiritual pursuit, and does not need to define a persons career path.

Yeshivas Darchei Torah

Yeshivas Darchei Torah is dedicated to the highest ideals and standards of Torah education. Our goal is to develop the full potential of each of our precious students, while inculcating them with good character traits and a true love of Torah. Our professional and warm teachers, a uniquely developed curriculum and creative educational techniques, combine to create the ideal learning environment.

Emphasizing religious education, teaching both Hebrew and Yiddish, and with a fully accredited General Studies program, Yeshivas Darchei Torah is educating today’s children with yesterday’s values, and preparing them to take a role in the challenges of tomorrow.
